Hi again, you may be wondering why I am doing book 2 without doing book 1 first. Well, you most likely saw my The Lost Hero review and see, when I checked this one out, I thought it was book 2 of that. And it’s not. 🙂
Summary: Sadie and her brother Carter go all over the world searching for the mysterious book of Ra and to free him to save the world from the evil serpent Apophis.
Rating: 4.5/5 stars
Reccomendation: People who like thrillers, Rick Riordan or funnily narrated stories.

So, I’m into the Percy Jackson series and I finally finish them, so naturally I start the next series, right? Right. So, this was a pretty good book, although I hated some characters from the other books were not in that book….otherwise I liked it.
Summary: Jason, Leo, and Piper, meet at Camp Half-Blood and run off in a quest to go save the world.
Rating: 4/5 stars
Reccomendation: Anyone who likes Greek myths or Percy Jackson.
First—profuse apologies for not writing for such a long time. Oops. Hopefully, this post will make you happy and be glad you are sticking with me 🙂
I loved this book. I actually got it as a free book, and that was totally a plus!!! And luckily, it’s a series so I like it even more!!! If any of you know about Greek mythology, you know that Pandora released all those evils and blah, blah, blah. This is pretty much the author’s rendition of what happened. And it’s surprisingly really good!! I enjoyed it very much and am enjoying the subsequent books also!!!
Summary: Pandora brings the box containing all the evils of the world to school for a project, where they are released. She is then ordered by the gods to capture all the evils and put them back in the box. Pandora, Dido, her faithful dog, and her BFF’S, Alcie and Iole, head off to find the first evil. Jealousy
I would reccomend this to anyone who likes Greek Myth’s or famous stories:
Rating: 4.5/5 stars
Okay, so this book is called Trapped. It’s by a guy named Michael Northrop.
This is a well-written book with interesting twists and turns carefully following the story line. Pretty much, what happens is 7 high-schoolers get stuck in their school while a seven day blizzard rages outside. They have to learn how to work together and face, scary new challenges. I thought it was really good. It was scary. But good! Once you get to a specific spot, I think you can’t stop! I sure couldn’t. However…….
One person dies at the end, and for sure you think another’s going to die, but he doesn’t!! It was really strange and weird.
Also, the book ends on a strange note. I reread the end chapter, but couldn’t make sense of it. Maybe, if you read it you’ll understand it better. Or you’ll just put it down the first chapter. May I advise- don’t do that because yes, the first chapter is kinda boring but you need to keep reading! Because it gets better!!!!
Sorry for the delays, I have been SUPER busy. I’ll do it more often now, I promise!
Well, I got this book at the book fair our school has every December. To be honest, this book unfortunately didn’t live up to my expectations. It was a waste of money when I could have gotten it from the library. Duh. It’s mainly about a boy to goes to live with his dad, and he finds a creepy old postcard and gets a creepy call. It’s a little interesting but not enough to make me want to read it over and over again. Every 8 months I would read this book. I will give it two stars out of five stars. The main character has quite a lot going on! It makes me wonder how I could stand that all.
Click here for a preview (aka the whole book 🙂
Read it, and see if you agree or disagree with me.
This is such a good book I have to share with you, it is called Homeless Bird, it is set in India a while back. It is about a girl named Koly. She is married to a very sick man named Hari, and, oh I probably shouldn’t spoil it for you but he dies and Koly is left a widow with her sass and sassur (mother-in-law and father-in-law) and endures long days of hard work, scoldings and bad food. The only light is her sister in law, Chandra. But when Chandra is married, Koly’s life only gets worse. Then one day, they take a trip. To where? Well, you’ll have to read the book to find out.
I thought this book was pretty good. The author does a good job of making you believe that this could be set in any time. It can be pretty serious at times, but there are little bits of happiness in the book that occur at just the right time. So, my final statement is that this book would be good for discussion, also to read on your own. It is a good book. A little romantic at times, but a nice book all the same.
